As part of its Value Add MCF Opportunity Invest II fund, Mata Capital announces the signing of a lease with a major tenant for a warehouse of nearly 20,000 m² located in Bruay-la-Buissière (62).
Tarkett Sports, a French specialist and global leader with its FieldTurf range of synthetic turf for sports fields, has committed to a firm 6-year lease for a 19,360 m² warehouse. This new base will provide Tarkett Sports with an ideal infrastructure to consolidate its storage and enhance the group's reach through its road accessibility. Located near Béthune, the platform will offer ideal access to Northern France thanks to its proximity to the A29 and A1 motorway interchange.
Tarkett Sports' growing activity on the one hand, and Mata Capital's expanding logistics real estate investments on the other, have led the two entities to collaborate on an ambitious project that will nonetheless involve significant renovation work. Indeed, the change in on-site activity, which no longer requires refrigeration of the warehouse areas (which previously housed an Intermarché base for fresh food storage), will significantly reduce the site's future energy consumption. In line with Mata Capital's ESG approach and Tarkett Sports' "Sustain the Game" commitments, additional measures aimed at reducing environmental impact will be taken, such as replacing most of the building's insulating cladding, and converting the entire site to LED lighting.
