Launched in late 2015, the asset management company, focused on "core plus," value-added, and opportunistic investment strategies, is accelerating its development by deploying its team in Lyon to strengthen its position in regional markets and ensure close management of its real estate portfolio.
Convinced that investment performance is driven by its teams' proximity to their respective markets, Mata Capital is establishing a management team based in Lyon, led by Antoine Fossati. This team is responsible for sourcing deals and managing the real estate portfolio in the Southeast region on behalf of the investment vehicles managed by the company.
Antoine Fossati joined Mata Capital in 2019. Based in Lyon, he oversees acquisitions and asset management across Mata Capital's various fund strategies. In just a few months, nearly 25 million euros have been invested in Lyon, under attractive financial conditions for the local market, at an average rate of 5.5% on retail and office assets, and at appealing metric prices (€2400/sqm excluding duties). In line with Mata Capital's investment strategy, these operations offer significant medium-term value creation potential, particularly through land banking operations on behalf of third parties.
Born in Lyon, Antoine Fossati holds a degree in Civil Engineering and Urban Planning from INSA Lyon and a master's degree from EM Lyon Business School. He has 8 years of experience in real estate. He began his career in 2011 as a real estate consultant at Kurt Salmon. In 2016, he then joined residential developer Promogim in Lyon as Development Manager.

Establishing an experienced team with local networks will enable the identification of the best investment opportunities. The Lyon team has just been strengthened with the arrival of Kevin Van Ruymbeke as Transaction Manager. He is responsible for sourcing and executing acquisitions. After starting his career in Paris as an auditor at Grant Thornton, he moved into the real estate sector with experiences at Franco Suisse and Les Nouveaux Constructeurs. In 2018, he joined Promogim's development team in Lyon as a land developer.
