Mata Capital announces the opening of the university campus located at 11 rue Ponscarme, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, resulting from the conversion of a former clinic into a modern higher education hub.
This project exemplifies Mata Capital's strategy of transforming obsolete assets into vibrant, high-value-use spaces, undertaken jointly with Quaero Capital.
Re-generation: the birth of a new campus in the heart of the 13th arrondissement
Formerly a maternity hospital, this 3,800 m² site spread over 7 floors is now reborn as a university campus, a place where students discover themselves, grow, and build their future. After two and a half years of work, the campus welcomed its first students starting May 4th, with a capacity for over 800 people.
Designed to foster learning and collaboration, the campus features a central tiered agora, a 96-seat amphitheater and a 48-seat auditorium, 16 classrooms and 7 meeting rooms, co-working spaces, landscaped outdoor areas, and a connected catering service.
A location rooted in a booming district
Located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the asset benefits from excellent public transport accessibility and is integrated into a dynamic urban fabric, characterized by the presence of numerous higher education institutions and innovation players.
A commitment to sustainability and value creation
The project aims for BREEAM "Very Good" certification, demonstrating the attention paid to environmental standards in every conversion operation undertaken by Mata Capital.
The campus also features a strong artistic signature, embodied by the fresco « Look Up! » by artist Tim Zdey, a symbol of collective momentum, the spread of knowledge, and openness to the future.
